On my personal experience, when my first born child Harvey turned one year old I was excited and a little bit worried that he is already entering a new age and stage in his childhood. Being a toddler means in some time they can crawl, walk and climb leaving me a little bit worried mommy about his skin. As they become adventurous a simple crawl might cause a minimal skin scratches. Let me share to you the best way t provide the protection with our babies' developing skin needs.

JOHNSON’S® Baby, as the leading brand for childcare products, provides the best solution for protecting growing babies’ skin through its newly upgraded Milk+Rice Bath and Lotion. The reformulation calls for 100% more milk proteins and real rice extracts that protect, so when used together, both Bath and Lotion create a gentle layer of protection on baby’s skin against skin microdamage– which is characterized by dryness causing redness and irritation. The company launched the reformulation of the Milk+Rice Bath and Lotion through its campaign, #PoweredUpProtection, which centers around the kulit-likot phase of toddlers and growing babies. The campaign features celebrity mombassador Anne Curtis and her daughter Dahlia, who both appeared in their first TV Commercial with JOHNSON’S® Baby.

The campaign launched with its virtual event called the JOHNSON’S® Milk+Rice Powerville that unveiled and celebrated the reformulated range with our partner Mombassador communities, media partners, as well as the public --it was the brand’s first ever activation of its kind. Crismer Tiria, senior marketing manager at Johnson & Johnson Philippines Inc., remarked, “Our team was excited to open the gates to JOHNSON’S® Milk+Rice Powerville. We wanted the brand to adapt to how events are done these days to still reach our audiences who are mostly staying at home.”

Anne was able to share her excitement for the campaign and the launch event itself, “I couldn’t be happier when I learned that I would be taking part in my JOHNSON’S® family’s first virtual event of its kind. I hope that all my fellow moms were able to know more about how they can best take care of their little ones and of course, had fun.”

Guests were able to explore the different spots in the digital town from their personal devices. Among the spots of Powerville was the Pavilion, where they were able to watch celebrity mombassador Anne Curtis engaging in a dialogue with head of Scientific Engagement for Baby Care APAC Robert Kwon, and Dr. Marivi Dizon, a pediatric dermatologist. They talked about the importance of providing the #PoweredUpProtection toddlers need, as well as letting the audience know more about the upgraded Milk+Rice formula.

Robert Kwon explained the motivation behind the new formula, “Johnson’s Baby has always been the leading brand for baby care because of our efforts to innovate and improve our products. We constantly conduct studies and research to make sure that our products are the best quality and designed for babies. Our highlight product for today, the new Johnson’s Milk+Rice contains 100% more milk proteins than the previous product, that can help nourish skin, plus real rice extracts that can help protect.” He introduced the Milk+Rice products as the solution to combatting the common threats of skin microdamage, while Dr. Marivi explained more about what these are. “Skin microdamage means that there is an effect on babies’ skin coming from impact or friction, even if we don’t visibly see the damage on their skin. As the term suggests, this is more evident when we look closely on a tissue level or under a special microscope. This can differ for every baby. For some, this can look like red patches on their knees or elbows because of crawling. Some babies also experience this as having flaky and dry skin from the lack of moisturization. There are also other cases that manifest irritation through rashes.”

Moms were also able to experience various fun activities found in different booths, such as the Play Area and Mom & Baby Photobooth. They visited the Neighbormoms area and heard what their fellow moms had to say about the new Bath and Lotion and the kulit-likot stage. The event also made purchasing the new product more convenient and accessible as e-commerce platforms were linked.

JOHNSON’S® Baby senior marketing manager Crismer Tiria expressed his gratitude to all the loyal consumers and guests present at the event. “On behalf of our team, I would like to thank everyone for joining us at JOHNSON’S® Baby Milk+Rice Powerville. I am so excited for mothers and parents to see what we have in store for the rest of the campaign, and hope that their unwavering support to the JOHNSON’S® Baby brand continues on.”

The upgraded JOHNSON’S® Milk+Rice Bath and Lotion are available in J&J PH Chat & Shop, all leading supermarkets, and official Johnson & Johnson Shopee and Lazada accounts. In celebration of Mother’s Day, Beko, the Official Partner of the Everyday, honors the hard work, compassion, and dedication of mothers towards their families through fun activities during its “Mother’s Day Out” event at the Activity Center of Robinsons Magnolia in Quezon City, from May 10 to 12.

Mothers joining the three-day program would experience free make-up sessions and tutorials, cooking demos, food tasting, coffee and pastries, as well as special prizes for participating in a contest, which would ask them to take a video of themselves explaining the value of having longer “me” time.

To promote the importance of personal time, the program also showcases Beko home appliances’ advanced technologies designed to assist mothers by optimizing time spent on house duties. By cutting the hours spent on dealing with everyday challenges, moms can focus on more important things, like having time for themselves or spending more quality bonding time with their family and loved ones.

Beko’s innovative features, carried by their washers, refrigerators, and ovens, not only offer solutions that boost productivity and efficiency but also, pays tribute to the incomparable qualities of mothers.

Washers

Some mothers prefer hand washing their clothes than rely on washers during laundry days – which most often fall on weekends. However, the hours spent on individual treatment of clothes cost too much time and energy.

This is the reason why Beko innovated technologies in their washers that can closely match a mother’s perseverance and dedication to tackle a large pile of laundries quickly, while still providing comfort.

Mothers can diminish the time it takes to finish a week’s worth of dirty clothes by properly sorting it and washing it with Beko Frontload Washers. It has “Xpress Super Short” a 14-minute cycle that is suitable for lightly soiled small load of laundry up to 2kg. With a full load of laundry, “Daily Express” will finish the job in just 28 minutes cycle at 30⁰C; while the “GentleCare 20⁰™” copies the tender hands of a mother to lightly yet effectively wash delicate clothes; all of this special wash programs and more in just one machine.

Refrigerators

Meanwhile, the technologies of Beko refrigerators manage the right conditions to maintain the qualities of fresh food for longer period, similar to how a mother upholds the sanctuary of her household.

Beko’s “Everfresh+®” in their refrigerators’ special crisper compartment preserves the storage life of fruits and vegetables by controlling the precise humidity, reducing condensation and minimizing temperature variations inside so fruit and vegetables stay crisp and fresher up to 30days; while “Active Fresh Blue Light™” technologies protects the Vitamin C intensity keeping its natural flavor and nutrition intact. It is almost like having a greenhouse inside the fridge which continues the process of photosynthesis on fruit and vegetables which preserves it 30% better compared to a standard crisper.

The refrigerator also has the benefit of “NeoFrost Dual Cooling System” that ensures even cooling inside the fridge compartment and no air transfers between fridge and freezer compartments, thus prevents cross contamination of food causing spoilage and foul odor.

Increasing the storage time of fresh produce giving them the freedom to store more to lessens the frequency of their travel to fresh market. This also releases them from pressure of immediately using all the available ingredients for dishes. This way, mothers can enjoy using their natural culinary creativity to spin new versions of favorite dishes.

Ovens

Mothers can look forward to an exciting cooking appliance that Beko would soon be launching in the Philippines in the coming months. This will help save their time spent in cooking and give them more “me” time.

With its technology, “Split and Cook,” the ovens mimic the multitasking capabilities of mothers by providing more spaces to cook two different meals with different temperature needs and durations at the same time in one single cavity oven. This Free Standing Cooker’s top stove uses gas while the bottom oven is electric, with two fans at the back to provide accurate cooking results.

While multiple dishes are being cooked at the same time, moms can find time to chat with other family members about daily matters. Once their signature recipes are done and about to be served, the conversations can continue into the right atmosphere for family dialogue - the kitchen table.

Beko acknowledges the different roles mothers provide to their families, acting as the light of Filipino home, the gentle manager, the provider of healthy and delicious meals, and the director of proper compartmentalizing. As the Official Partner of The Everyday, Beko has installed features to partner with mothers to complete everyday household responsibilities, so that they may have longer meaningful time for themselves and their loved ones.

Gurhan Gunal Regional Sales Director of Beko Asia Pacific is set to grace the event and will address the audience with his opening remarks. Also present are Dyeun Zapanta, Assistant General Manager together with Cecil Placia, Marketing Manager of Beko Philippines.

“Filipino moms deserve a day out and we at Beko, aim to deliver that. Aside from the fun activities of the program, we would also be introducing our technologies to mothers so that they may have the better option of owning intelligent appliances in washing, cooking, and storing,” said Dyeun. “We believe that missing out on valuable family moments to tackle everyday challenges at home is to waste away precious memories. That is why we developed these features to assist them in managing personal time and chores.”

“This is also the perfect time to buy a special gift for mom as a Special Mother’s Day promotion can be availed from May 10 to 12, 2019. Hurry and visit your nearest Robinsons Appliances branch and inquire about this limited offer,” Cecil added.

Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo on raising a family built on trust

This 2019, Absolute Distilled Drinking Water explores a territory of love uncommon to most mothers. A discovery of Pure Love and where it sits between the safe comforts of a mother’s love and the uncertainties of letting go.

A discussion with Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, an Absolute Mom for seven years, as she shares her own story on Pure Love; a discovery she slowly uncovered while raising her own family, and raising herself too, as now a mom to three children: Yohan, Lucho, and Luna.

Absolute: What would be the main difference of your experience as a new mom (back when you only had Yohan) to now that you have Lucho and Luna?

Judy Ann: It was very different. I had Yohan when I was 26 and at that time parang ang bilis lang ng lahat. Hindi pa nag sink in that I’m already responsible for the life of another human being. Noon, ang alam ko lang nagtatrabaho ako ng mabuti and I thought that was enough. When Lucho and Luna came, my perspective changed because nag-aalaga na ako ng toddler and ng infant at the same time. I learned to be more attentive and give more importance to the love and attention that I give.

A: Would you consider yourself a hands-on mom?

JA: I try to be as hands-on as I can to all of my children. But I cannot always be present because of industry I’m in. There was a time when Lucho got into an accident, and I was out of town for work. Grabe yung guilt ko nun. It’s never easy. It took me time para matanggap ko that it doesn’t make me a bad mom pag hindi ko nakikita yung milestones nila, or pag wala ako if something bad happens. I am just blessed that I am surrounded by people who love my children. And I teach my kids also na may mga ibang tao din na nagmamahal and aalagaan sila. So they also learn to trust and respect them.

A: What would be your biggest discovery about a mother’s love?

JA: You have to learn how to Trust. Trust is one of the foundations of any healthy relationship. Parang sa amin din na mag-asawa, Ryan taught me the values of honesty, trust, and respect. And this is what I teach our children too. I learned, especially now that I have Yohan, Lucho, and Luna that you have to trust them, so they also begin to trust themselves. You have to make them feel na may confidence ka sa ginagawa nila, and in return, magkakaron din sila ng tiwala at confidence sa mga ginagawa nila.

A: Do you think this is what Pure Love means? Trusting your children to make their own choices?

JA: I give my children space so they can have their own experiences. Isa to sa mga discoveries ko sa sarili ko as my experiences also grow as a mom. I make it a point that I make my kids feel that I trust them. So they also trust me back in return and hindi sila takot magsabi sa amin ng experiences nila, kahit good pa yan or bad. I remind them na wag matakot because kahit ano pang pagdaanan mo sa buhay, lagi kang may matututunan.
Now that I am a mom of three, the way I understand Pure Love has evolved. Ngayon, Pure Love means I allow them to make their own decisions and may tiwala ako sa mga desisyon nila. I give them the freedom to choose their sports or hobbies, or if gusto nila tanggapin yung endorsement deal or hindi.

A: What if they make decisions that you don’t agree with?

JA: I listen. Pinapakinggan ko sila and I try to understand that best way that I can. Pero siyempre I also make them understand my point of view and sa paraan na maiintindihan din nila - kung tama ba to or hindi? Before I used to overanalyze their decisions, pero I learned na they’re kids, and kids say what they feel. So it’s a learning discovery din for me.

A: How would you encourage other moms to show their Pure Love?

JA: Probably isa ito sa mga pinakamahirap gawin bilang nanay, kasi takot tayo mag let go. But always remember that they will only learn how to trust themselves, when we make them feel that we trust them first. To moms, hindi natin malalaman how much they will grow if hindi natin sila bibigyan ng chance. We let go little by little, so we allow them to grow and be their own person. That’s what I’ve learned about Pure Love today. It’s trusting them so they can be their own person.
Motherhood is indeed a journey of trust for Judy Ann. It is learning to co-create this life filled with decision-making together with her children, and that her greatest discovery yet as a mom is realizing there is Pure Love that continuously grows inside her.

Absolute celebrates #PureLoveTrusts

For the first time in seven years with Absolute, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo stars in her first-ever TVC with children Yohan, Lucho, and Luna in celebration of the brand’s newest campaign #PureLoveTrusts. This gives light to one of the biggest fears and milestones of a mother – trusting and letting go.

Absolute aims to inspire mothers to find within them the heart to trust their child’s own decisions. To understand that trusting is a continuous learning process – from supporting their decisions, being present as they face the consequences and helping them make sense out of it. It also means hoping that whatever choices they make, these will all lead them to the person they’ve always hoped of becoming.

Based on my personal experience from my kid Harvey, there are times that he doesn't want to check on his temperature by the device that needs to put under his underarm. Often times, he refuses it and we aren't able to get his temperature because of it. As a parent, you stop making decisions for yourself, and you start putting your baby’s well-being as your top priority. It is the most rewarding and fulfilling job, yet the most challenging one as well.

Good thing there’s Thermofinder Plus. It’s your newest, trusty, non-contact infrared thermometer developed by HuBDIC, a Korean company that specializes in the development of innovative healthcare products. It is a QUICK, ACCURATE, and SAFE must-have for every household. In less than 2 seconds, you can accurately and safely get your baby’s body temperature. It allows you to check your baby’s body temperature without him or her feeling even the slightest discomfort. Simply aim at the temple area or behind the earlobe.

Thermofinder Plus is the best tool to lessen any uneasiness from your kid. Simply switch off its sounds to avoid waking your baby in the middle of his or her sleep, and with its fever guidance backlit display, you can easily read the temperature even at night or in low light. Plus, it can record 32 measurements to help you keep track of your baby’s temperature.

You can check out their branches on the following malls below:
