Cerelac brings “Tambalang Big Sustansya” on the road this August, bringing nutritional education closer to Filipino families.

Always committed to delivering only the best when it comes to nutrition, Nestlé Philippines Inc. reached out to its community once again at its exclusive media event last July 22, 2026, at the Nestlé Makati Administrative Office.

The event served as the official launch of Tambalang Big Sustansya Sa Barangay—a nutritional education caravan by Cerelac, coming this August to different barangays in Metro Manila and Cagayan de Oro.

The caravan aims to help address the nutritional gap among Filipino babies by empowering parents with nutrition education. It also reinforces Cerelac’s brand commitment to be a trusted partner parents can rely on throughout their babies’ feeding journey.  The first 2000 days of a baby’s growth is the most crucial, so guaranteeing they get the right nutritional requirements is a must for their growth and development.

In line with this, the caravan launch featured opening remarks by Arlene Tan-Bantoto, Nestlé Nutrition and Health Business Executive Officer. Tan-Bantoto shares, “Parents today have access to more information than ever before. They have Google, social media, and parenting forums. They’re very thoughtful about the decisions they make for their children. But let’s be honest - it can also be a lot to keep up with. That’s why we believe parents deserve trusted guidance and support along the way. Because helping children receive the right nutrition is something we all care about.”

The program also presented a special audio-visual presentation highlighting Cerelac’s heritage. From a response to malnutrition over 160 years ago, Cerelac continues its commitment and promise to be a partner to parents in providing science-backed nutrition to support healthy growth.

Academician of the National Academy of Science and Technology Dr. Imelda Agdeppa and Dr. Katrina Florcruz-Dacanay, pediatrician of the Diliman Doctors Hospital and The Medical City then enlightened the audience about micronutrient deficiencies in the Philippines. Both experts discussed the importance of complementary feeding from 6 months onwards in helping bridge nutrient gaps during babies’ critical stage of development

“For Cerelac, our role is simple: to be that trusted nutrition partner of parents as their babies start their feeding journey. That’s why, for 160 years, we have continued to develop products designed to help address nutrition gaps. Today, Cerelac is tested and proven for Filipino babies, giving parents science-backed nutrition they can trust. We remain committed to making nutrition education accessible,” shares Nikki Constantino, Vice President for Nestle Baby Food & Mainstream Milk.

Cerelac is going on the road this August with Tambalang Big Sustansya sa Barangay. The interactive caravan will visit four barangays in Metro Manila and Cagayan De Oro to bring nutrition education closer to Filipino families. EMBRACE MESSY BUT HEALTHY MEALTIMES WITH CERELAC®

CERELAC® invites parents to discover a whole new world of taste and textures with their little ones at the CERELAC® Let’s Eat, Bulilit! event happening on April 28 to April 29, 2018 at the Glorietta 3 Activity Center. Headlined by interactive learning games, life-sized installations, exciting promos and fun surprises, CERELAC® teaches the joy of messy but healthy mealtimes with children finally joining the rest of the family at the big table.

Children start to develop a sense of curiosity as they grow, and this becomes a perfect opportunity for parents to start introducing them to new tastes and explore different textures. Let’s Eat, Bulilit! is CERELAC®’s way of helping mommies and daddies make that big step and ensure that their children get the right nutrition at the right age. Beyond offering a nutritious bowl, CERELAC® also believes that mealtimes open up to fun, memorable bonding sessions with bulilits. With a bowl of CERELAC® or Nutripuffs at hand during mealtimes, every chomp, nibble, and mess that you and your bulilit experience together can start a lifelong habit of eating healthy and eating happy with the family.

Getting bulilits to eat healthy

The first two years in the life of children are crucial for developing not only their physical and cognitive functions, but also their flavor preferences which can impact the way they see and consume certain foods, especially vegetables. International studies reveal that most children do not meet the recommended vegetable consumption, but this can be easily corrected with early feeding intervention strategies.

A way to introduce healthy foods to bulilits is to pair fruits and veggies like broccoli, squash, sweet potato, and even chicken with an infant cereal like CERELAC®. Unlike junk food that contribute lots of calories but little nutritional value, CERELAC® is a nutrient-dense food with no added preservatives and contains Protect Plus™, a combination of BIFIDUS BL® for a healthy digestive system and DHA which is an important building block for brain and eye development for children up to three years of age. Aside from Protect Plus™, one bowl of CERELAC® contains almost 1/3 of your bulilit’s daily energy requirement and is also a rich source of B Vitamins, Vitamin C, A and D, Iron, Zinc, Calcium, Phosphorus, Protein, Iodine and Folic Acid. Served alone with just water or mixed with a puree, CERELAC® makes mealtimes more fun, nutritious, and memorable for both parents and their children.

Let’s Eat, Bulilit in action

To take part in the CERELAC® Let’s Eat, Bulilit! event festivities, one simply needs to buy one (1) 7g pack of CERELAC® from the activity selling booth to get access for two. Inside, parents and their bulilits can know more about CERELAC®’s nutritional benefits at the Bulilit Meal Maker, mix their favorite CERELAC® recipe with giant-sized ingredients at the CERELAC® Delight Bowls, and take Instagram-worthy shots of their children sitting on the themed dining areas at Bulilit at the Big Table.

“Let’s Eat, Bulilit! is our way of helping parents foster stronger relationships with their little ones through messier, healthier mealtimes,” said Consumer Marketing Manager Lead for CERELAC®, Kirby Joseph Neri. “With this event, we hope to teach moms and dads more about baby nutrition, complementary feeding, and more importantly, provide fun opportunities for bonding with their children.”
