It is another successful product launch for Vice Cosmetics! This time they launched their Gandoll Brow Collection. A night full of pinks and Barbie-inspired guest. All of us enjoyed taking pictures in all corners of the venue.

I was able to try out the product with Ms. Ann's help, she said that my shade is Natural Brown which is deep brown shade. This matches for the people who have black to dark brown hair.

How to choose your perfect brow shade

1. If your hair is colored/bleached check the roots of your hair and see what's the color.
2. Compare your root's hair color to the available shades below.
3. Choose the nearest color to your hair and that will be your perfect shade.

Maymay is also there to grace the program and thank Vice Cosmetics team for their trust to her. I am so happy that I was able to attend the event and excited to share with you my insights about their newest product. Please do check the links below for my detailed review of this product.

Natural Brown

For my Overall thoughts about this product

Micro brow pencils are one of my go-to products because aside from that they do make the natural finish on my brows they can be easily used for the first-timer. The downside of this is because it is thin it has a tendency to be easily broken.

When you swatch the product at the back of your hand you will not yet be able to see the colors it takes about 5 strokes to see the color. But once you glide it on your brows you will notice that the color is there. It is nota waxy type of product neither too dry, it just the right amount of product mixture.

Gandoll Micro Brow Pencil is a micro brow product you can mimic the hair strokes with this product.

Also, Gandolls during the launch emphasizes that they are proud that it has a unique ingredient within this product which is Castor Oil. Castor oil contains fatty acids, nutrients, and minerals. The oil helps nourish and moisturize your follicles while also triggering hair growth from dormant follicles. So it is a brow product that will surely help the hair growth on your brows.

For the shades; it contains 4 shades that distinctively different from each one, they cater most of the hair colors from blonde to natural hair color.

If you're going to ask me if this product will take longer I will just give you a review update for that after a week.

On the price point you don't have to worry because it is only 195 PHP and will be widely available on Vice Cosmetics Stores/kiosk and Lazada this July 20, 2019.

🌷Gandoll Volumizing Brow Gel🌷
🌷Gandoll Volumizing Brow Gel & Gandoll Micro Brow Pencil Launch🌷

Every year as we get old and become exposed to different pollutants around us, our skin tends to degrade its natural look resulting in wrinkles and fine lines. As our skin dehydrated and less firm because of this pollutants, our skin loses its radiance and youthful appearance thus it will be the start of wrinkles showing up to our face.

On the other hand, you might think what's about with Hyaluronic acid, well it is an acid that is naturally occurring in our skin that helps provide fullness and elasticity. But as I shared above Hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin diminish as we age which causes increasing chances for wrinkles and skin to lose volume.

Recently I attended an event launch of Restylane, let me first give you a quick overview of them. The Restylane OBT family of products is a brand of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, which includes Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne, Restylane Volume, Restylane Kysse. Each is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid specifically formulated to act like your body's own naturally produced hyaluronic acid. Restylane product is designed for a specific purpose. During the talk, they told that worldwide Restylane brand is a well-known brand that doctors trust.

Check out the Q&A that will give you some information about their products.

How does one filler differ from another?

The great benefit of the Restylane range is that we have two technologies;  NASHA and OBT. These have very different characteristics and give a strong complementary range of fillers. Restylane NASHA (Non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid), firmer gels for lifting and precision and Restylane OBT (Optimal Balance Technology), are the more flexible and softer gels for contouring and expression. Thanks to the high flexibility of these products they move with the animation of the face, and suited for finer lines.

You mentioned about “flexible”? How flexible are the Restylane OBT lines?

Restylane OBT is available as VOLYME and DEFYNE intended for volumizing and contouring effects. REFYNE are suited for finer lines and wrinkles. KYSSE can give volumization with flexibility perfect for lips, the most animated area of the face. The flexibility is a property that describes the ability of a gel to move with the animation of the face, explaining natural results. Unlike other soft fillers in the market, our gels create a natural-looking finish. We are also first with this and we can show with science how the dermatologist/cosmetic surgeon can achieve natural results. We also know that one of the greatest barriers for consumers to try dermal fillers is the fear of looking unnatural. And this is something all patients will love - to look natural.

Restyle Volyme is designed to create and intensify high volume lifting effect in the face. The aging process can result in loss of facial volume in cheekbones and the chin, which can then be restored by Restylane Volyme. Restylane Kysse is a dermal filler for lip enhancement. The product is designed
to enhance lip volume and add definition to lip contours to create soft, natural-looking lips. Restylane Refyne integrates with your skin to help smooth out the lines that run alongside the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds and marionette lines) and the flexibility you need for natural-looking movement and expressions. Restylane Defyne helps smooth out deeper lines around your mouth (nasolabial folds and marionette lines) while letting you look more natural through a range of
facial expressions.

What are the side effects of Restylane products?

It is normal to experience some post-treatment discomfort, such as redness, swelling, pain, itching or tenderness at the treatment site. These generally disappear within one week after treatment. Other potential side effects can occur which you need to discuss with your healthcare practitioner. Following a treatment, there is sometimes a need for touch-up treatment to achieve an optimal result. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Restylane has an established safety profile and reliable results that you can count on.

How long do the effects of Restylane treatment last?

As Restylane is a non-permanent injectable product, the effect gradually diminishes with time. In order to maintain the aesthetic result, maintenance/top-up treatments are recommended. Results may vary depending on the treatment areas.

Have you heard about L’Oréal’s Brandstorm?

If not let me tell you a little information about it. Started way back 27 years ago,  L’Oréal Brandstorm becomes known as the world's biggest innovation competition that is made for students with over 65 countries participants. They have 6 months to imagine a concept and work on its feasibility. A final round will bring the finalists from each country together in Paris, at an event in late May 2019, to determine which team will win an immersion at Station F. For more information: https://brandstorm.loreal.com

The Grand Winner

For Into Your Genes emerged victorious at L’Oréal Brandstorm’s 2019 Philippine National Finals on Thursday, April 25th, 2019, at Whitespace Manila, Makati City. As this year’s winners, Into Your Genes, will fly to Paris, France, where they will be mentored by L’Oréal experts at Station F. The winners of the world finals will have the opportunity to develop a prototype of their project as a brand under the L’Oréal Active Cosmetics Division.

For the last 27 years, L’Oréal’s Brandstorm has put business students through real-life situations to reveal skills that are daring, tenacious, innovative, and entrepreneurial in spirit. The competition has launched the careers of countless men and women worldwide who were given the chance to explore every aspect of L’Oréal’s company culture as a globally-loved brand.

Brandstorm 2019 National Finals

L’Oréal Brandstorm was first introduced to college-level students in the Philippines in 2009. This year, student teams were asked to create a disruptive innovation for skincare to attract and engage health-conscious consumers online and offline. The top eight teams to make it to the finals included:

1. BrandBabes (University of the Philippines - Diliman)
2. Into Your Genes (University of the Philippines - Diliman)
3. Brandhurricane (De La Salle University - Manila)
4. Innovature (Enderun College / University of the Philippines - Diliman)
5. Skin Queens (De La Salle University – Manila)
6. RegSteffiJe (University of the Philippines – Diliman)
7. Beauty Fixers (University of the Philippines – Visayas)
8. Teamnovate (De La Salle University – Manila)

Brandstorm 2019 Champions: Into Your Genes

Into Your Genes prevailed as the Brandstorm 2019 Champions. The team is comprised of UP Diliman Business Administration students Annika Bautista, Martin Cruz, and Guia Peralta.

“It’s just surreal,” shares Annika Bautista. “We’ve been working for the last few months to get to this point. It feels like an entire journey was encapsulated in that one moment when we were announced as champions.”

Together, this group of friends developed a skin patch called In Skin. The patch is an answer to issues such as acne and dry skin and works by directly stimulating the user’s DNA. In Skin is directly applied to the skin and can be worn all throughout the day.

“There are so many factors inside your body that can actually create the problems you feel now,” says Guia Peralta. “Our solution taps into that and brings out the best in you by healing you from within.”

Over the course of six months, the team worked tirelessly on their Brandstorm pitch. The hard work and sacrifice paid off: Into Your Gene’s pitch impressed the L’Oréal jury panel, which included Thibault de Saint Victor (Country Managing Director), Supriya Singh (General Manager Consumer Products), and Tina Ampil (General Manager Human Resources).

“There were times when it was really a struggle because it felt like we were stuck at a dead end,” says Annika Bautista.

Bautista, Peralta, and Cruz are heading to Paris, France, for the Brandstorm Global Finals. The team will compete with regional champions from every corner of the globe at Station F, the biggest start-up campus in the world. There, Into Your Genes will have the chance to work with L’Oréal experts to test the feasibility of In Skin as an actual product under the L’Oréal Active Cosmetics Division.

“We are super excited for the new learning process,” adds Martin Cruz. “One of the things we all agree on is that we really learned a lot. Not just with marketing and business, but also with science. And that’s something I think we need to take with us to Paris: the passion to keep researching to come up with better, more feasible ideas.”
